Operators of electricity transmission systems of part of the Germany (transpower stromübertragungs gmbh and Vattenfall Europe Transmission GmbH), the Czech Republic (CEPS, a.s.), Poland (PSE-Operator, s.a.) and Slovakia (Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s.) have agreed to organize coordinated auctions of available cross-border transmission capacities on the borders between their transmission systems. Capacities will be allocated in common explicit auction organized by common Auction Office in yearly, monthly and daily auctions. CEPS, a.s. in its role as Auction Office has operated Internet portal called e-Trace supporting coordinated auctions since the year 2005. From start of the operation in 2006 e-Trace will support daily coordinated auctions and the capacity rights transfers according to the Auction Rules for the year 2006.
